Changes in the Air!

A woman walks up a winding road with her back to us and her arms outstretched to either side. She wears a bright orange jacket over a berry-red sweater, long denim shorts, black tights, boots, and a cranberry-red hat. The road is bordered by trees in shades of gold, light green, and tan and the ground is covered with fallen leaves.

Autumn is a season of change, so it seemed like the perfect time to announce a few changes happening with the show!

First, I’ve got new music! The current theme did the job when I started way back in 2017, but it’s time for a refresh so I went with a couple tunes that are welcoming and relaxed, but a little funky. I hope you like it!

I’ve also updated the intro and am moving to a monthly release schedule. These changes will start with the next episode, which drops soon. Listen below for more details!

I hope you enjoy the new sound and if you do, it would mean so much if you spread the word! Personal recommendations are one of the top ways people discover podcasts. Just send folks here or tell them to search for “A Long Look” wherever they get their podcasts.

Hi everyone, Karen here! Wanted to let you know about some changes happening with the show starting with the next episode.

First, I’ve got new show music! The old theme did the job when I started way back in 2017, but it’s time for a refresh so I went with a couple tunes that are still welcoming and relaxed, but a little fun and funky. I hope you like it! I’ll include to this tracks in the shownotes.

Second, I’ve updated the intro to give new listeners a better idea of what to expect when they click play.

Last but not least, I’ll be sticking with the monthly schedule I’ve been on lately. But no worries, I’ll still be bringing you the descriptions and stories you enjoy and if you subscribe you’ll keep automatically getting new episodes when they drop.

Visually impaired listeners can continue to enjoy the show on Apple Podcasts, the Overcast app, or Spotify.

Thanks to all of you who have continued to listen and been so supportive over all these years. And if you’re a new listener, welcome! If you don’t want miss anything, just hit that subscribe or follow button!

If you’re a fan and want to support the show, please tell your friends and family about it! Personal recommendations are one of the top ways people discover podcasts. Send them over to alonglookpodcast.com or just tell ’em to look for it on their fave podcast app or streaming service.

To send us off, here’s a taste of the new intro. You might recognize it as the closing theme from recent episodes, but I liked it so much, I’ve decided to open with it!

As always, thanks for listening!
